It’s Christmas time and the BIF has been teeming with events and festive cheer! The annual Christmas fair saw cakes, crafts, books and raffle prizes fill the ground floor of the Harold Acton Library. Grazie mille to all who came to support the BIF!
While the beautiful city of Florence has been hosting many parties for the holiday season, the students learning Italian at the BIF celebrated the end of the year in Italian style. With a glass of prosecco in hand, the students played tombola, ate Panettone and Pandora (as well as voted on which was better – a much contested topic!), and learnt some traditional Italian dancing!
After finishing the one-month beginner course, one student wrote:
La festa era molto buono! Mi sono divertita molto festeggiare con gli altri studenti alI’instituto. Non posso decidere la mia preferita, Panettone o Pandora! sono deliciosi! Grazie mille per tutte le classe - ho imparato tanto!
