A Spot of Afternoon Tea (and Cake) Every Thursday at the British Institute of Florence

Every Thursday at 4:30 pm the British Institute of Florence hosts an afternoon tea provided by Tealicious.  Alongside the assortment of tea flavours ranging from vanilla chai to popcorn, the institute also offers generous portions of biscuits, cake and cucumber sandwiches! (Who could forget a British classic?)  These edible additions are also thanks to visitors who kindly bring along their own home-made treats to the institute.

This weekly event has become quite a hit attracting Italian and English-speakers, new students and permanent residents.  The tea is a sociable occasion in a relaxed environment.  You are sure to hear a memorable story or make a new Florentine acquaintance!  There is also an array of newspapers and magazines, like the  Burlington and New Yorker, if visitors wish to catch up on worldwide events.

The Thursday tea takes place in the Harold Acton library at Lungarno Guiccardini 9.
